An interdisciplinary learning project that treats artificial intelligence not merely as a tool, but as a cultural technique currently transforming artistic and design practices from within.
Mastery in dealing with a technology does not begin with enthusiasm, but with the ability to make informed decisions for or against specific aspects.
ARS AUGMENTATA is aimed at Master’s students from all faculties, and the invitation is explicitly to those who look at AI with skepticism.
Over the course of the semester, you will develop two learning objectives:
1. establishing your own, self-determined relationship with AI;
2. formulating your answer to the question of what AI means for your artistic or professional practice.
The project is driven by interactions with invited AI pioneers (see guests below) and by peer learning: learning with and from one another – students, professors, co-hosts, tutors, and guests alike – because, when it comes to current AI, everyone in the room is basically a learner. No prior knowledge is required.
Ars Augmentata is part of the Interdisciplinary INTER projects
