In dem Kurzzeitprojekt beschäftigen wir uns mit der Gestaltung von ästhetisch innovativen Wandfliesen.
Hier soll intensiv und spielerisch der Werkstoff Keramik exploriert und mit den verschiedenen Gestaltungsparametern Form, Struktur, Relief, Ornament, Farbe und Glasur experimentiert werden.
Bei der Gestaltung der einzelnen Fliesen soll auch das Bild, das durch die Aneinanderreihung bzw. durch den Rapport entsteht, beachtet werden. Was verändert sich durch die Vervielfältigung und was passiert am Übergang von einer Fliese zur nächsten?
Im Wechselspiel mit dem Experiment sollen verschiedene Fragen an den Entwurf gestellt werden:
Welche Atmosphäre möchte ich erzeugen?
Welche Bildassoziationen sollen entstehen?
Welche haptischen Erfahrungen kann ich auslösen?
Welche Funktionen sollen die Objekte erfüllen?
Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wird ein Workshop zum Thema DIGITAL CRAFTS vom Berliner Designstudio JÜNGERKÜHN angeboten.
Das Kurzzeitprojekt kann unabhängig oder als Warmup für das Semesterprojekt STAY CLEAN belegt werden.

In this short-term project, we are focusing on the design of aesthetically innovative wall tiles.
The aim is to explore the material of ceramics in depth and in a playful manner, and to experiment with the various design parameters (shape, texture, relief, ornamentation, colour and surface).
When designing the individual tiles, attention must also be paid to the pattern created by their repetition (rapport).
What changes as a result of the repetition, and what happens at the transition from one tile to the next?
As part of the experiment, questions should be posed regarding the design:
What atmosphere do I wish to create?
What visual associations should arise?
What tactile experiences can I create?
What functions should the objects fulfil?
As part of the course, a workshop on the topic of DIGITAL CRAFTS will be offered by the Berlin-based design studio JÜNGERKÜHN.
This short-term project can be taken independently or as a warm-up for the semester project STAY CLEAN.
