This short term project will be the start point to our SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES semester.
We will take a perspective on Berlin!
The short term project CRITICAL SOUVENIR – Berlin will be launched during three days of activities in the first week of term. Designer and educator Jordi Canudas from Barcelona will join us for this project at UDK. He will also act as a parallel voice throughout the semester giving tutorials and feedback on your SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES journey.

Create a critical souvenir from Berlin
The process
Take a critical perspective:
- on your city
- on the city as a visitor
- on the visitor from the city
- on the city you came to as a visitor
- on what makes Berlin, what doesn’t
- on taking viewpoints (what are the sights?)
- …anything Berlin

Wir werfen einen Blick auf Berlin!
Das Kurzzeitprojekt CRITICAL SOUVENIR – Berlin startet während der drei Auftaktage in der ersten Semesterwoche. Mit an Bord der spanische Designer und Dozent Jordi Canudas aus Barcelona. Jordi wird uns auch während des Semesters als zusätzliche Stimme begleiten und Tutorials sowie Feedback zu euren SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES Projekten geben.

Entwerft ein „critical souvenir“ für Berlin
Der Prozess
Nehmt einen kritischen Blick ein:
- auf eure Stadt
- auf die Stadt aus der Sicht eines Besuchers
- auf den Besucher aus Sicht der Stadt
- auf die Stadt in die ihr als Fremde gekommen seid
- auf was Berlin attraktiv macht und was zum weglaufen
- auf Aussichtspunkten (was sind die Ansichten der Stadt)
