THE THIRD HAND – URI NOY

The Third Hand is an autonomous feeding machine that explores the relationship between humans and machines through the intimate act of eating. A robotic arm uses a camera to recognize the user’s mouth and gestures, feeding them with an interchangeable utensil. By replacing the human hand, the project questions how automation affects communication, trust, intimacy, and our understanding of care.
