Second Skin ist eine spekulative Handtasche aus handgegossenem Latex und Rohstahl, die das Accessoire als psychologische Erweiterung des Körpers neu interpretiert. Das Projekt untersucht die Gegensätze Dehnung und Einschränkung, Offenlegen und Verbergen sowie Mensch und Maschine. Ausgehend von psychoanalytischer Theorie, Fetischismus und Posthumanismus erforscht Second Skin, wie Materialien Identität, Wahrnehmung und Emotion prägen. Durch experimentelle Materialprozesse bewegt sich die Handtasche zwischen Mode, Skulptur und Produktdesign.

Second Skin is a speculative handbag made from hand-poured latex and raw steel that reimagines the accessory as a psychological extension of the body. The project explores oppositions between stretch vs. constrict, reveal vs. conceal and (wo)man vs. machine. Drawing on psychoanalytic theory, fetishism, and posthumanism, Second Skin examines how materials shape identity, perception, and emotion. Through experimental material processes, it positions the handbag between fashion, sculpture, and industrial design.
