Frankfurt is World Design Capital 2026.
The Museum of Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt has a summer show, where various perceptions in design and design education are presented: WDC Campus, dreams, ideas & prototypes.
The curators were curious how Prof. Ineke Hans’s Dutch and British design education (Product design in Arnhem NL and an MA Furniture design at the Royal College of Art in London) has shaped her personal design attitude and her work with students at the University of the Arts in Berlin and invited her to make a presentation.
Under the title: ‚THE POWER OF DESIGN- how design can contribute to a better world and… the essence of design education‘ Ineke presents her vision on design & design education.
Various projects are on show to underpin her attitude: work by Ineke herself, as well as projects by her UdK students in ‚Design & Social Context‘ program and by some of her recent graduates.
With: Aaron Bigos, Aaron Slupinski, Jul Gross, Anton Oberlander, Hadas Feinholz, Maya Weiss, Toni Müller, Oskar Poetsch, Mia Pahl, Jonas Spieker.
The WDC Campus opens with a special Festival from 3-5 July bringing together students, creatives, and international guests to exchange ideas and shape the future together.
On 4 July 14.00h Ineke will give a talk.
