Malte Martin, born in Berlin, lives and works in Paris and Marseille. As a designer and visual artist, he runs a graphic design studio that works for cultural institutions, municipalities, and public organizations, with a particular focus on design in urban spaces. His influences are diverse. He began his training at the Stuttgart Art Academy before attending the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and gaining his first experience in France at Grapus. At the same time, he founded his experimental project “Agrafmobile” as a mobile visual theater to explore urban spaces and everyday environments. It is also a laboratory for experiments between visual and auditory design, between gestures and signs—a laboratory that also shapes the concepts for his commissioned works. He is a member of the AGI, was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Research at Art and Design Colleges within the Ministry of Culture and Communication, and of the Scientific Advisory Board of Le Signe, the National Center for Graphic Design in France. He was also involved in the founding of the Graphic Design Department at the École supérieure d’art visuel in Morocco.
