PERILUX – Uri Noy

My guidelines were to design an alternative moving light fixture that maintains professional functionality while reducing visual intrusion. I rethought the traditional pan-tilt setup, which requires three separate components, in favor of a single unified body using a 45-degree hinge and a concealed rotating base, enabling hemispherical movement.

While highly calculated and complex internally, this setup allows for a unified, seamless exterior design with no visible interventions. The final fixture is the result of a hands-on process that included producing original 3D-printed parts, arround the lighting, optical, and cooling systems. comprising over 50 components and custom control code.
