Marie Kurstjens won the German Design Council Newcomer Award 2026!
The Newcomer Award is handed out to young designers with an impressive portfolio.
Marie graduated with an MA in Productdesign in September 2025 with her project Designing Dignity which focused on women on the run and menstruation. Marie understands design as a collaborative process for addressing social and humanitarian challenges.
